We take measurements by loading your Web Site using spiders, which act much like a common browser would act.
- These spiders work by downloading the page (URL) you have specified, and all the page elements usually images, that the spider finds within that specific URL.
- This download is measured, both in time and size (kbytes) and inserted into a database.
- If there are any errors, i.e. your page cannot be contacted, or some of the elements within your page are broken, or not loading, or give timeouts, flags are raised within our system, and the incident processing system kicks in to make sure you are notified promptly.
